Congratulations to all the Team San Diego members that participated at the Chicago Gay Games! Between July 31st and August 7th in 2010 the Gay Games VIII will take place in Cologne, Germany. Around 12.000 participants from all over the world are expected to take part in this sport and cultural event. Opening Ceremony will be on July 31st at the RheinEnergie-Stadion in Cologne, home of the famous cologne soccer club. Gay Games Cologne 2010 web address: http://www.games-cologne.com/

Team SD also known as AIM (Athletes in Motion) was founded in 1985. AIM is an organization of San Diego's primarily gay and lesbian athletics groups, with nearly 1,000 athletes participating in various sports for achievement and/or for competition. It is a network of local sports groups. We help prepare and encourage individuals who wish to participate in the Gay Games, which are conducted every four years. Our main focus is to support our local sports teams and athletes that are headed for the Gay Games.

Team SD encourages athletes of all ability levels to participate in the Gay Games. Plans are underway right now for Gay Games VII in Chicago. We look forward to you joining our Team and marching with us in both the opening and closing ceremonies.
